War of 1812  Cavalry Saber – 30" Curved Blade, Partial Grip

Up for sale is an authentic antique 19th century cavalry saber, a genuine piece of mounted troop weaponry from the early-to-mid 1800s. Though showing its age and with a broken grip, this remains a desirable and collectible historical weapon.

Features:

  • 30-inch curved, single-edged blade with fuller, optimized for cavalry use.

  • Iron stirrup-style guard with forward quillon, sturdy and functional.

  • Partial bone or antler grip section remains, showing wear, cracks, and hand-carved line decoration typical of the period.

  • Blade curvature and guard design are consistent with European and early American cavalry sabers.

Condition:

  • Blade has patina and surface wear consistent with age but is structurally solid.

  • Guard is intact and secure.

  • Original grip is broken with only a fragment remaining, showing carving/decoration.
